Management Team

Deborah K. Wright

Chief Executive Officer

A graduate of the University of Texas, Deborah has spent the majority of her career in the translations business. With over 36 years of experience in technical translations, Deborah has developed an extensive team of qualified technical translators, editors, administrators, and production staff who still work with her today! As a hard working business owner, she is committed to her clients and to doing whatever it takes to exceed their expectations! Deborah continues to oversee all aspects of the translation process.

Maricella Infante

Chief Operating Officer

Ms. Infante started Phoenix Translations with Deborah in April of 2000. Also educated at the University of Texas, Ms. Infante has over 28 years experience in managing a translation production staff. During this time, “Mari”, as she is known around the office, has had the opportunity to work one-on-one with her translators, thus building a long-lasting and solid professional relationship with them. Mari continues to oversee the production end of all translation projects.

John R. Graham

Chief Editor

As a graduate with an M.A. in French Language and Literature from the University of Virginia and a B.A. in International Studies from Miami University, John brings great language and cultural depth to his position as Chief Editor. Before joining Phoenix Translations, John worked for over 18 years as a French, Spanish and Italian translator for the United States Patent and Trademark Office. 12 of which he served as the Chief of the Translation Branch. He has also served as a Project Manager and Editor for another major LSP.

Dr. Stephen Brooks

Head Medical Editor

With a Ph.D in Molecular Immunology and a BS in Biology, Dr. Brooks has over 30 years of editing and writing experience as an expert in the scientific fields. Before coming to Phoenix Translations, he held positions as a Research Professor, Department of Microbiology and Immunology, School of Medicine and Biological Sciences, SUNY at Buffalo, Buffalo NY, Research Professor, Department of Surgery, School of Medicine and Biological Sciences, SUNY at Buffalo, Buffalo NY.

Rene Rosales

Patient Materials Manager

A member of the team since 2000, as Patient Materials Manager she heads up one of our most complex and detailed projects.  She ensures that all patient facing pieces are in compliance with the in-country CRO’s needs. She is an expert in every role from Visual Quality Assurance (VQA) to Desktop Publishing (DTP).

PJ Aguilar

Operations Manager

During his 10 years as a manager for Dell Computers, PJ specialized in Quality Control Management and ISO 14001 certification practices and processes. He also received his BPI (Business Process Improvement) with Green Belt certification (LEAN). Prior to Dell, PJ worked in Quality Control at Electrosource, a rechargeable battery developer and manufacturer.

Sandy Parker

Global Business Development

Sandy Parker joined the Phoenix family in July 0f 2011. As a language major from the University of Georgia and with an extensive background in marketing and sales, her focus is on strategic alliances in key markets worldwide. With an eye on the world, Sandy is able to assist global clients with our ability to drive language solutions to their point of need, regardless of language needs or location.

Tonja Shepard

Office Manager

Tonja Shepard is a graduate of WGU with a BS in Business Management and has been a member of the Phoenix Team since 2007. Qualified both in electronics and as a dental assistant, Tonja has 15 years of combined experience in electromechanical medical and infrastructure systems, manufacturing programs, and quality control. During her career, she has also gained experience in office management, nonprofit operations, and business communications. A native Texan, Tonja combines her skills in coordinating people and processes, driving demanding translation projects to high quality and timely completion.
